Gaskets
Gaskets are a general term that describes a product or
products used to seal two mating surfaces.
As technology changed and developed, new gasketing materials
and manufacturing methods used to make them evolved.
Whether you require metallic gaskets, single or
double-jacketed gaskets, we partner with your engineering
team to develop and manufacture gaskets to suit your needs.
Metallic Gaskets:
Used in applications where pressure and temperature
conditions exceed the limits of a traditional gasket,
these types of gaskets are designed to conform to the mating
surface. This is done in material selection
(softer the mating surface) and/or the actual design of the
gasket by developing a corrugation.
Jacketed Gaskets:
Jacketed gaskets give the performance of a metal jacket
combined with the sealing performance of soft filler. The
most common types are single and double-jacketed gaskets.
The single jacketed-gasket is manufactured with one side open,
giving metallic coverage on 75% of the gasket. The
double-jacketed gasket is manufactured with 100% metallic
coverage over the filler material. In either case, the jacket
and filler material are chosen to meet the demands of the
application.
Non-Metallic Gaskets:
Non-metallic gaskets are manufactured in a wide varied
range of materials and generally custom die cut to fit specific
applications. Non-asbestos materials, rubber, Viton, plastic,
foam and graphite materials are just a few. They offer operating
temperature ranges from 400°F to over 4000°F.
